Our Certified Dog Trainers offer a variety of classes designed to prepare you and your dog for success in the classroom and in real-world situations. Group classes are held at the Rose Barn in North Park.

Puppy Manners - $150

Begin your puppy's training on the right paw by enrolling in a basic training class that promotes and reinforces positive behaviors. This interactive class will help you understand effective socialization techniques for your puppy and teach fundamental manners such as Sit, Down, Place, Tricks, Leave It, as well as laying the foundation for proper leash manners. Additionally, the class will address common issues like puppy biting, aggression, and house-training. This class is for puppies six-month and younger. Category: LIFE SKILLS

Companion (Adult) Dog Manners - $150

Discover the essential skills to enjoy a rewarding life with your dog. The Companion Foundation is a 5-week class designed for adolescent and older dogs, focusing on key behaviors such as sit, down, stay, come, loose leash walking, and managing jumping. You'll explore enjoyable and effective ways to bond with your adult pup. Bring dogs to first class.

Canine Good Citizen Prep and Test – $150

Join our five-week course, taught by a certified American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen trainer, to prepare your dog for Canine Good Citizen certification. To enroll, your dog must have completed a training program that leads to CGC certification. In the first three weeks of the course, we will focus on teaching the skills needed to pass the CGC test, which include basic commands, strong recall, loose-leash walking, and more. During the fourth and final session, our trainer will administer the 10 tests required for Canine Good Citizen certification. Dogs that pass the test will receive the certification paperwork needed to submit to the American Kennel Club (note that additional fees may apply). ​Category: LIFE SKILLS

Therapy Dog Certification – $150

Are you excited to see your dog bring joy and comfort to hospitals, senior centers, and schools? This training is designed just for you! Your furry friend will learn essential skills to provide emotional support in diverse environments. With a focus on good behavior, calmness, and sociability, your dog will be equipped to respond to the unique needs of individuals, brightening their day and enhancing their emotional well-being. Introduction to Scent Work – $150

This 5-week class will start by teaching your dog how to hunt for a reward and will then focus on finding and alerting to specific odors (birch, cypress, anise, or clove on scented Q-tips). Dogs will learn to search through boxes and containers scattered across a designated area. As the searches become more challenging, they will also learn to solve puzzles to reach the source of the scent. This process will help build their confidence while ensuring they have FUN! Handlers will learn to read their dogs and recognize when they've detected an odor. Scent work is not only an organized sport that you and your dog can participate in, but it also serves as a great form of mental exercise and enrichment. It can help shy dogs build confidence and is effective in tiring out very active dogs. ​ EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: - Flat or buckle collar or back clip harness ( preferred) - Ten (10) ft. long leash - Scent work kit will be available for purchase for a nominal fee (not required to participate in class) ​​PREREQUISITES: - Dogs run one at a time and should be comfortable and able to wait quietly between turns - Minimum age of 6 months ​Category: NOSEWORK

Building Scentwork Skills (Level II) – $150

This 5-week class is designed for teams with dogs that have already been introduced to all the scent work odors (birch, cypress, anise, and clove) or have completed the introductory nosework courses. In this class, we will focus on building a stronger drive for odor, developing indication skills, and introducing various search elements. These elements will include interior, exterior, buried, and vehicle searches. ​​PREREQUISITES: - Completed Introduction to Scentwork - Dogs run one at a time and should be comfortable and able to wait quietly between turns - Minimum age of 6 months ​Category: NOSEWORK

Honing the Indication: Drop-in Sessions – $23

This standalone class is designed to refine indication of target odors. By focusing on indications, these sessions aim to build confidence within the teams. PREREQUISITE: - None Category: NOSEWORK

Tracking Workshops: Two-Day – $75 (April 2025)

Would you like the opportunity to try tracking and see if it’s a good sport for you and your dog? This workshop will cover the basic concepts of tracking, including how to start your track, motivational techniques, and line work. It’s a great place to begin for those who are completely new to tracking. REQUIREMENTS: - Any breed is welcome - Dogs should have a non-restrictive harness and a 30-foot lead - Dog should be over 6 months old LOCATION: - North Park Category: NOSEWORK

Recall Training | A Comprehensive Approach – $150

This 5-week course is mostly run outdoors in realistic situations so that you and your dog learn together and can apply what you learn to your daily routine with some distractions. What topics do we cover? - ​Understanding how to motivate your dog - How dogs learn - Different recall cues - Long line handling - Building a 'following' response on and off lead - Training at home and beyond -- Distraction Training - Problem solving REQUIREMENTS: - A secure collar with name tag - A regular lead - Water bowl - Traioning treats - Their favourite toy LOCATION: - North Park Category: LIFE SKILLS

Loose Leash Workshop – $23 (Summer 2025)

he workshop designed for dog owners who want to master loose-lead walking, letting their dogs stroll happily by their side. Say goodbye to being pulled along and enjoy relaxed walks with your furry friend. In this interactive workshop, you'll learn the basics of loose-lead walking and practical techniques to teach your dog. You'll also discover engaging methods for recall training, making walks fun and rewarding for both of you. The competition games for the 2nd half of the workshop will present you with challenges that will give you confidence to take home. Category: WORKSHOPS
